Fingerprinting using Ink is another option for processing background checks. FBI INK CARD Fingerprinting also known as Ink Card or Fingerprint Card FD-258 Ink Cards Fingerprint or FD-258 Cards. Typically is the method used when a receiving agency is requesting Ink Cards for employment, permits, licensing, immigration, and much more. Usually for employment outside of the state in which they currently live. Not all states use Live Scan and require Ink Cards, and although some states do process background checks using Live Scan Fingerprint Technology, most will require Ink Card Fingerprinting, and keep an original Ink Card on file.
The process for Ink Card background check can take up to 2 months for review and get back to the applicant, which is why the actual Ink Card process must be done properly in order to avoid any delays for the customer.
